Kud, a place of extraordinary scenic beauty is situated 103 Kms
away from Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India. This popular resort is
situated on the Jammu-Srinagar highway at an altitude of 1738 metres.

The tourism Department has Trekking equipment Hire shop. These Shops
stock local and imported trekking gear. Equipments are available
against a security deposit. If you are a foreign national then your
passport will be kept as a deposit. Some travel agencies also organise
trekking around this area.
How to Reach:
Regular transport is available from Jammu. Buses are available
from General Bus stand Jammu. JKTDC also makes available chartered
luxury coaches and buses. Taxis can also be hired from scores of
Tour/Travel operators from across the city of Jammu , Jammu and
Kashmir, India. Similar services towards Kud are available from
Railway Station. Fares are pre determined by the Govt. and are subject
to change.
Clothing:
Heavy woolens are required in winters while light/medium clothing
is required in summers. It is a very well developed hill station
in Udhampur District. It also experiences heavy rainfall in the
rainy season.
Accommodation:
Accommodation is available in the J&K TDC's Tourist Bungalow-I
and Tourist Bungalow–II. The tariff is Rs.350/- for a regular room
and Rs.450/- for a VIP room in the Tourist Bungalow-I, while in
Tourist Bungalow-II, a room costs Rs.300/-. In addition, a number
of private hotels also offer various types of accommodation.
